From Monday, August 17th to Saturday, August 22nd, CC Atlántico turns into an academy for young artists. Singing, dancing, musical theatre, music videos, a red carpet and a big final concert for the whole family. No previous experience needed — just enthusiasm.
A week inside a real artists’ academy
POP IDOLS: The Academy of Stars is an arts camp created for children and teenagers who love music, dance, acting and the world of performance. For one week, participants become part of a real artistic company: they create their own group, choose its name, logo and motto, design its image and build, step by step, the show they will premiere in front of their families.
The camp is open to children and young people aged 5 to 17, organised into age groups so every activity fits their level. There’s no need to have ever set foot on a stage: everything is designed for learning from scratch, in an atmosphere where teamwork, confidence and having fun matter just as much as the final result.
Workshops, challenges and daily surprises
The programme combines three core workshops — singing, dance and choreography, and musical theatre — with a whole range of activities that make every afternoon different. The singing workshop covers vocal technique, breathing, pitch and choral work. The dance workshop brings pop dance, urban rhythms and group choreographies. Musical theatre focuses on improvisation, character creation and stage presence.
On top of that come music video shoots and photo sessions, creative workshops — star microphones, stage accessories, each group’s visual identity — and team games and challenges: The Golden Star Hunt, Karaoke Challenge, Guess the Song, Talent Battle and Dance Battle. There will also be a Red Carpet Day with a photocall, interviews and group presentations, plus a Glow Party with music, dancing and glow bracelets.
POP IDOLS LIVE: the big final show
The week comes to a close on Saturday, August 22nd at 6:00 pm with POP IDOLS LIVE, the grand final concert open to families and to everyone visiting the centre. Participants will show everything they’ve learned through singing performances, group choreographies, musical theatre and the presentation of the groups created during the week.
The show will also feature the POP FASHION SHOW, a children’s fashion parade on a runway set up in the centre’s main square, where participants will model clothes and styling from CC Atlántico stores. At the end, every participant receives a certificate as an official member of the Academy of Stars, followed by the group photo that closes the week.
How to sign up
You can sign up online through the registration form, or in person on Saturday, August 15th, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at the stand set up by the organisers at CC Atlántico. If you’d rather do it on paper, you can download the registration form here, pick it up at the camp information point or request it through the centre’s social media; once completed, hand it in at the stand or email it to atlanticoeventosyocio@gmail.com. Minors must provide the authorisation form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Registrations may also be completed during the first days of the camp, as long as places are still available. The camp runs from Monday, August 17th to Friday, August 21st, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and every participant receives an official camp T-shirt, which must be worn during all activities.
