From May 18th to 30th, visitors will enjoy a unique experience filled with details that pay tribute to Canarian traditions, folklore and local talent. A special atmosphere designed to share, discover and feel closer to the roots of the Canary Islands.
Discover Canarian craftsmanship
For several days, CC Atlántico will host artisan stands featuring a wide variety of traditional Canarian products and handmade creations. The perfect opportunity to enjoy the flavours, creativity and craftsmanship of the islands.
Visitors will find gastronomy, baking, crochet, handmade crafts and many other locally made products full of charm and tradition. A wonderful way to stroll through the centre, discover unique creations and support local artisans.
Because some traditions are not only seen… they are also tasted, felt and experienced.
A Shopping Centre decorated for Canary Islands Day
From the very first moment, visitors to CC Atlántico will be immersed in a special decoration inspired by Canary Islands Day, officially celebrated on May 30th.
Every corner of the shopping centre will feature traditional details and iconic elements of Canarian culture. The decoration will include traditional Canarian clothing from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, offering a visual journey through the history and evolution of the islands.
In addition, the entire upper floor will be decorated with banners displaying typical Canarian words and expressions, creating a warm, cheerful and authentic atmosphere.
The hanging decorations will also play a major role, including:
- Canary Islands flags
- Traditional Canarian balconies
- Lanterns
- Traditional Canarian knives
A decoration designed to surprise visitors, awaken memories and make every visit feel truly special during these celebrations.
Activities and live performances for the whole family
The programme will also include family-friendly activities and folklore performances that will fill the centre with music and tradition.
Children’s activities
The youngest visitors will be able to enjoy children’s activities on:
- Friday 22nd in the afternoon
- Tuesday 26th in the afternoon
Two fun-filled afternoons designed for children to enjoy the festive spirit of Canary Islands Day.
Live Canarian folklore and music
Traditional music will also take centre stage with several folklore performances:
- Performance by AF Noroeste on Wednesday 27th in the afternoon
- Performance by AF Amor Canario from Santa Lucía de Tirajana on the 29th in the afternoon
Dance, music and traditional Canarian singing will fill CC Atlántico with rhythm and excitement, creating a festive atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family.
The main event: Great Canarian Celebration on May 29th
The highlight of the festivities will take place on May 29th with the GREAT CANARIAN CELEBRATION at CC Atlántico.
A very special event featuring influencers, local authorities, folklore performances, traditional Canarian music and dance, star performances and many more surprises.
One of the most special attractions will be the traditional pilgrimage cart with gifts, bringing even more festive spirit and tradition to this unforgettable celebration.
An afternoon designed to share, celebrate and proudly experience Canarian culture in an atmosphere full of joy, music and tradition.
