Atlántico Shopping Center celebrated Canary Islands Day with outstanding participation and support for local talent

The shopping center reinforces its commitment to Canarian culture through a special program featuring crafts, music, and tradition

To celebrate Canary Islands Day, Atlántico Shopping Center organized an extensive program of activities throughout the month of May aimed at the whole family, including craft workshops, live musical performances, and cultural initiatives focused on promoting the traditions of the archipelago.

Francisco García, Mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, visited the shopping center to experience first-hand the initiatives organized and to share with attendees a day dedicated to Canarian culture and identity. During his visit, he had the opportunity to tour the spaces dedicated to participating artisans, who showcased their creative processes and the cultural value behind their handcrafted works.

For his part, Alberto Medina, Manager of Atlántico Shopping Center, highlighted the importance of this type of initiative in strengthening the connection between the shopping center and the local community. “Atlántico is yet another example of the close relationship we maintain with the experiences and everyday lives of our customers. We wanted to convey the essence of our traditions, remembering and giving value to our roots. From craft stalls and workshops for the whole family to live musical performances and cultural exhibitions, we created a program designed to enjoy and share our identity,” he stated.

The program also featured an exclusive showcase entitled “Sounds of the Atlantic”. This live performance included renowned figures from the Canarian cultural scene, among them timple player Derque Martín, singer Dani Moreno — one of the most recognized voices of Los Gofiones — and guitarist Misael Jordan, one of the most prominent musical directors in recent years. The event was hosted by famous journalist and influencer Adolfo Rodríguez.

With this initiative, Atlántico Shopping Center reaffirms its commitment to promoting local culture and creating gathering spaces that help preserve and spread Canarian cultural heritage among residents and visitors alike.
