Atlántico Vecindario Shopping Center, proud sponsor of the U14 International Basketball Tournament held in Santa Lucía de Tirajana
From June 12 to 15, Santa Lucía de Tirajana successfully hosted the third edition of the U14 Santa Lucía – Gran Canaria Tournament, already established as a key event in youth basketball at both regional and international levels. The competition brought together 16 teams (8 boys’ teams and 8 girls’ teams) at the La Unión, Los Llanos, and Municipal Sports Halls.
The event, organized by Santa Lucía Suresanta Club, once again featured international participation, notably the German team SSV Lok Bernau, representing European basketball in this edition.
The champions of the tournament were CB Gran Canaria in the men’s category and Adareva Tenerife in the girl’s category, after intense days of competition and conviviality that reflected the high level of the participating teams.
During the official inauguration, the mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Francisco García, congratulated the organization and stressed the importance of this type of initiatives to promote sport among the youth of the municipality. In addition, he thanked the work of the club Santa Lucía Suresanta, which currently brings together more than 26 federated teams and mobilizes about 350 families around basketball.
